Elastomeric and tangential supports play a key role in maintaining the stability and reliability of bridges and other structures.

Elastomeric Bearings

These bearings are made of elastomeric materials such as rubber or polyurethane. They are used for resilient connections between structural parts, absorbing movements and vibrations, and compensating for deformations and thermal expansions.

Work Procedure:

  • Surface preparation: Cleaning and levelling the surface.
  • Elastomeric bearing installation: Placing the bearings in designated locations.
  • Bearing fixation: Securing the bearings with special fasteners.
  • Verification and adjustment: Checking the proper installation and adjusting the positioning if necessary.

Tangential Bearings

Designed to transfer vertical and horizontal loads between the bridge’s structural elements and their foundations. They ensure stability and even load distribution to prevent structural deformations.

Work Procedure:

  • Surface preparation: Cleaning and preparing the foundation.
  • Tangential bearing installation: Mounting the bearings in the required locations.
  • Bearing fixation: Using fasteners to secure the bearings.

Quality control: Checking the proper installation and fastening strength.
